Palencia.

In
this second Supplement we describe 69 -in fact, 79- items (four
manuscript and the rest printed), including six fragments of
incunabula and one post-incunabulum, almost all of them very rare
and a few probably unique. The group mainly consists of folk
literature, represented by 17 chap-books of Spanish poetry, and
three Italian. It also includes two popular books, five accounts
in prose, seven bulls and other utilitarian brief texts. The three
decks also stand out because of tlieir extreme rarity. Some of fue
items are rare due to their printing place (Lima, México, Jerez
de la Frontera, Cuenca), or binder (Brugalla), or origin: the
Marquis of Morante, the Earl of T'Serclaes and Prof. Ángel González
Palencia. Keywords: Manuscripts. Antique books. Rare books. Incunabula. 17th Century. Chap-books. Accounts in prose. Decks. Bindings. Origin (previous owners).
