RESUMEN

    Se presentan datos acerca de la distribución de Alytes dickhilleni y Alytes obstetricans en la provincia de Albacete. A. dickhilleni se distribuye por las sierras de Alcaraz y Segura, mientras que A. obstetricans presenta pequeños núcleos de población en torno a las cuencas del Júcar y el Cabriel así como en el centro de la provincia. Se discuten los problemas de conservación que presentan ambas especies en la provincia.

SUMMARY

Distribution and conservation status of midwife toads (Anura: Discoglossidae: Alytes) in Albacete(Castilla-la Mancha, Spain)

We present data about the distribution of Alytes dickhinelli and Alytes obstetricams in the province of Albacete. A. dickhilleni is distributed throughout the "sierras" of Alcaraz and segura, while A. obstetricans has small, scatteres populations in the basins of the rivers Júcar and Cabriel, as well as in the central part of the province. Conservation problems faced by both species in Albacete are discussed.
